Case Study - Developer Help
In-house developer Rich Stuart, of Empire Airlines, a freight services airline in the western United States, was having problems developing a Safety Management System to track incidents and accidents that affect airline safety.
He found Kantala and
engaged us to provide Developer Help . We examined his solution, suggested ways to solve the issues he was experiencing, implemented them and provided a detailed breakdown of what we had done. When the project was finished, Rich had this to say:
"To Whom It May Concern:
I just wanted to share with you how pleased I am with the outstanding customer service and technical assistance Kantala provided us in perfecting an important, safety-related, Filemaker database that will be used by FedEx's domestic air carrier feeder operators (of which we are one).
Because of the urgency of the project, the database had to be finalized and distributed within a week of its beta-test release..which was yesterday morning. Needless to say, this doesn't offer much time to test and refine new software so it works flawlessly.
After a few users took the database for a 'test drive', we discovered problems with its coding that I couldn't repair with my intermediate level programming skills. With little time to lose, I posted my need for help.... To my surprise, less than two hours later the database was returned to me deftly repaired and with notes describing why it wasn't functioning correctly... To say I'm delighted with the speed and professional results... would be an understatement."
The project was subsequently featured by Filemaker in their 'Customer Stories' section.
